Vendetta by Karla-Chan Vendetta by Karla-Chan
So this needs a little explaining, this is actually relevant to what just happened in my D&D game actually. One of the people on our gaming table is leaving us for 3 months and is going to the US. So the DM wrote three possible stories for the character and the player was allowed to choose one. He went for the V for Vendetta style storyline. He will get to come back when he gets back into the country.

What happened is the "bad guys" who are after the warforged (who is also the player who is leaving) in the party managed to get themselves in a government position while the party was away during in game down time for various training. During this time Ico became a pop start (we like to call her music ipop) and is using her music to brainwash people. During her final concert a man in a mask appeared and announced that he was going to cut the head of the government in 3 days because it had become corrupt. Ico was pretty annoyed by this, because it was HER show.

Any way sometime later the town guard showed up because everyone in the concert was witness to a crime, two of the good party members (one of the dwarves and the warforged) get arrested for banishing their weapons in public after chasing the previous guy, which is illegal in the town we are in. Ico gets really pissy about the fact her concert as been interrupted again and gets a bit pissy with the guard and also gets arrested. Ico then bribed the guards with her autograph and some tour T-shirts and was on her way rather quickly. After all her crime as considered minor and she is a pop star. She leaves the other party members to deal with their own problems.

The two other party members now get added to a wanted listed and the good character escape from prison and Ico manages to hide them in the slave compartment (this has come in useful more then once) on her ship. We find out that the V guy wants to meet us because he wants our help to blow the the corrupt government. The two choatic evil party members in the party are really up for this, although Ico was on the outside explaining how it is for the greater good since the party don't know she is evil yet. She then also sorts out the rest of the party with fake IDs since they know she has been carrying round a fake for a while know which is why as a whole she is in a lot less trouble then everyone else.

Any way the session ended with the party helping the masked guy (who was totally like V from V for Vendetta) and their job was to make sure no one escaped the building when he set it on fire. Which again the two choatic evil characters loved every minuet of this. We found the ring leader, killed him and Ico stole his boots, which are now magically on her feet. Which she is freaking out about and comparing it to her time in Oz and screaming not again. While the warforged in the party got sucked into hell.

I wonder what the boots do? They aren't ruby at least? lol What story, your games must be wild!! I love the V for Vendetta story line. Brilliant! How fun! Ico as a pop star is AWESOME!

The DM won't tell me until next Tuesday, and no they are not ruby. They are black leather, she was wearing ruby though.

Oh yes, our game is pretty crazy I think it is because half the table including the DM are pretty crazy. And Ico becoming a pop star was the DM idea, I just thought it was awesome. The funny thing is that she has a drow as manager and she is paying for the whole thing.

What kind of music does Ico play? Does she play an instrument or is it just vocal? Does she have any levels in bard?

She is in 4e so you don't get levels in the class you multi-class in (yes she is multi-class bard though) the way it works is you can use a feat slot to multi-class into a class which will give you a skill from that class and a power from that class. Sometimes there is more then one multi-class feat too so you can gain extra stuff. Then once you are a certain class you can take feats you may qualify for from that class, you can also use a feat to swap one of your powers from one of your new class.

I have Ico as primarily vocal, but I have stated she can play the violin. For the brain washing, which what she is doing at the moment to convert people to worship her Goddess she is using pop. Simply because it is catchy and it is easier to put subliminal messages into it.

Yes, part of Ico's back-story is that she used to be a bard but then she "found religion" so I thought it was only right I give her a bard multi-class feat. Even though I imagine her as a none magical bard.

Thanks, it was a good chunk of the DMs idea, he really takes my character into account, he is awesome that way.

I think so too! :) There is a grumpy player that hates the fact she became a pop star too. :)

Oh come on, there are TONS of reasons why boots wouldn't come off, other than being cursed...

<thinks about it>

Maybe you stepped in some Sovreign Glue? (not that that's much better than being cursed...)

It does to me as well, the DM says that it is not. He also says we have to act it out next week and he says they are influencing her in the sense she feels the need to adventure more then she did before.

In character she totally thinks they are cursed. The player is unsure what is going on.

Well if you can't trust the GM who can you trust? :)

Lol, my current DM is as a person fairly trust worthy, but as a DM he will troll and have a bit of a laugh. :) He wouldn't screw a character over too badly though, but since you can get rid of cursed items he would probably do something like that.
