Steampunk Alice BG by karla-chan Steampunk Alice BG by karla-chan
Ok i went a bit crazy with the BG but what do people think? I did want it to look a bit crazy since she is falling into wonderland. But how do you think i did? Does it look too much?

Sorry i have submitted more then one person, i felt i just needed to experiment.

I had this idea not long after seeing the new Alice in Wonderland and i had a convo with my BF about how i should draw a Steampunk Alice. And so i did! It took me pretty much all day, but i am pretty please with it.

A lot of my stock that i can show on here can be found in my collection-> [link]

This site is also very useful -> [link] you have to sign up, but you don't get any junk or anything. :)

I love the background - I don't think it's over-the-top at all
It compliments the theme brilliantly.

I noticed that there's a notice saying you would like critique, I hope I'm OK to say this and you won't get annoyed considering it looks like a lot of effort has gone into this lovely pic >_<

There's a few anomalies in Alice's body position which I've noticed.
Her closest foot could do with being rotated counter clockwise so it covers the shin a bit - this should make the perspective look better.
Her furthest leg needs to be lowered as it doesn't follow from her hip
And the goggles aren't centrally aligned (although this could be intentional as it makes her look more unseated)

The attention to detail is fab and I love the movement, I'm just sorry I had to point out anatomical stuffs

I have apologised on your painting comments as I wasn't aware that there was a separate procedure for critiques :(
I don't know how to delete it from there, but hopefully you can if you know how
What do you think?

Thanks so much, I am happy you like it. :) It seemed like a good idea mixing Steampunk with Alice in Wonderland, since the book was written in the Victorian era. :D

The goggles are the only think that are meant to be that way, because she is falling down and her hair is everywhere. The goggles are almost slipping off ^^;

I am happy you took time to critique me though, i wish i got more of it. I fully agree with you on the foot looking at it now. I can't figure out what you mean by her other leg, if you would like to explain more i would happily listen.

There is not need to be sorry about pointing out my faults, point out as many faults as you like because that way i can work on them and become a better artist. I do love it when people take time to comment on my work with such meaningful comments.
