The red string of fate, also referred to as the red thread of destiny, red thread of fate is an East Asian belief originating from Chinese legend and is also used in Japanese legend. The myth says that the gods tie an invisible red string around the little finger (in Japanese Mythology) the people who are connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of time, place, or circumstances. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break. It is like the concept of a soul mate. I think I also read that once the two people meet they can never leave each other because they become tangled together.

I thought this concept would be really cool for these characters because Ico (my D&D character) worships Lolth in her Eladrin (high elf) form as the Goddess of Fate and Destiny. Who has the colours red and purple linked to her domain and I pretty much decided for these two to be together Ophelia would also worship the same Goddess, but probably as her Drow for Lolth. Although Lolth's colours are red and black.

I was hoping to cover them a little with the ribbons, but that just didn't happen and thicker ribbon would not have been about to be tied round their little fingers. Also I am so happy these two girls have magnetic hands other wise this would have been really tricky to pull off.

I don't think I would draw it since I have expressed it this way. I do need to do some drawing though, last time I tried I couldn't focus on one thing to be able to draw it. So my picture kind of failed. I had too much of a short attention span too, it was a bit odd.

I agree most BJDs do have really nice bodies.

Thanks so much. I am happy you think I did a good job. I think the story is kind of sweet too. I thought it would be good because Ico is always going on about fate and destiny. Like if the party stumble on something by chance, she is always saying it is her Goddess helping them. Even if it is by chance, Ico is very happy to send the credit to her Goddess.

Oh religious fanatics, they are so amusing, good thing there is no such tings today...Oh....wait. ;)

To me they kinda look like someone walked in on them and their expressions just says "What's ya glaring at asshole?"

I love playing my religious nut jobs! I tend to go all out on them too! Ico didn't start off as too much of a nut job, I imagined her to not be very loyal and just agreed because she didn't want to die. But the DM's keep giving her really nice things via Lolth, and her life has worked out pretty well via Lolth. So she has become more loyal and doesn't even regret doing what she did. Plus every drow she has ever met has been nothing but nice to her.

Lol, I wasn't really going for "What's ya glaring at asshole?" :giggle: I just tend to like the dolls looking at the camera to catch the light.

Yeah, I didn't think a DM would do that actually. Oh well. :)

Lol, yes that is true. :) I have had bondage comparisons already too...

I can see why some people might make the bondage connection, but personally I don't make that connection, two girls tied together and embracing just doesn't get me into the bondage mood ;)

Lol, I don't think it screams it either. I guess it is because I know full well what it would look like if it was bondaged,

Thank you so much, I am very happy you like it. The fact both dolls have magnetic hands made the concept much easier to do. I could imagine it being much harder if their hands where hooked on. Since they hand magnetic hands when I was wrapping the ribbons the hands where not attached to the dolls.

I am happy you like it, I try to get the dolls looking towards the camera when I can because I have the light source behind me for better photo's and I like the eyes of the dolls to catch the light.

Magnetic hands for the win for that one. I tied the ribbon round their little fingers. Then took of the hands so it was much easier to sort out the ribbon! I am happy you like it though. :)

MSD is the only size I collect actually. They seem just right for me. Although I tend to get Slim MSDs because I like them to look like adults and not like younger childern like a lot of other MSDs. I do like the look of SDs I just feel so clumsy with them!

Thanks again and I will do my best.

Oh that is cool, I saw in your gallery you also had a minifee. The one with the black hair is a minifee Shushu! I can see why you want more! I tend to take my dolls out sometimes too, and a smaller doll is much easier for that!
