I figured when i come to lay it out they are actually going to be 2 drawings. I figured the thinner image would go at the top of a page, with text under it. And the other i would put in a bottom corner with the text, or the side.

I did actually read Baum's story when i wrote my own version actually. But it wasn't an actual book it was a free version on line. But i will check out the rest of the pictures actually. They might give me some inspiration because i need to draw more things from the wizard of Oz for my own version.
And you can get a reproduction of the first edition of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz from Books of Wonder. I have a copy and it's really nicely done. [link]
Oh that is so cool, that is a US site. But at least i know the book exists in a modern print run. So i will have to look out because it is beautiful.
